Patients & Visitors Guide
The Admitting Department is located at the ground floor near the Emergency Room (ER). If your admission is pre-arranged by your Attending Physician, then you can go direct to the Admitting Office and present your an admitting order. For those who are rushed to the ER and advised for admission, you will be assisted by our ER doctors or nurses and directed to the Admitting Office. The admitting personnel will explain details and procedures of your admission and will have you or your relative read and sign important papers. This important procedure will take a few minutes but as soon as it is completed, a designated hospital staff will assist you to your room of choice.
If you are a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) card holder, you need to inform the admitting personnel right away. Your relative will be directed to the HMO Office for verification of the coverage of your card in relation to your admitting or final diagnosis. We recommend that you bring some personal belongings like towel and slippers to make your confinement more comfortable except for beddings and extra pillow.’ as these are readily available at the hospital. However, we discourage bringing of valuable items that are not necessary for your confinement (e.g. jewelries or electronic gadgets). Tagaytay Medical Center will not be liable for any loss of your valuables.
Should you have other concerns about admission, you can reach the Admitting Department at local 165.
Discharge billing usually takes 2-3 hours. Once your doctor advises you for discharge, you can coordinate with your nurse-in-charge for fast preparation of your final bill. You will be informed by your nurse-in-charge once your final bill is completed.
A discharge clearance will be given to you once you have settled your bill to the Cashier. You will present this to the nurse station so a medical staff can assist you in your discharge from the hospital. A copy of the discharge clearance will be given to the Admitting Department and the Guard on Duty.
